EEPA holds its group classes in the Children’s Complex at the Mifflin Avenue United Methodist Church (MAUMC.) The church boasts a secure entrance for our students and their families, an air conditioned series of rooms for us to work in, and a comfortable library area on the first floor where parents can wait for their young actors. The rooms on the second floor provide a very flexible space for us to have ample room to move for staging and choreography, or to set up a table and chairs to watch a video of a performance.
Each May, EEPA students show off their hard work in the annual Spring Showcase. This fun event is held in the beautiful auditorium at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. Students have a dress rehearsal in the morning and get to know their fellow performers over snacks, and in the afternoon they sing and act their hearts out for a supportive audience. We cannot thank the staff at the WPSD enough for helping to make this event special each year.
