THE WILKINS SCHOOL COMMUNITY CENTER
The Wilkins School Community Center is a former school building. When the local school district consolidated into other buildings and the Wilkins building sat empty, a group of residents bought it and turned it into a non-profit organization. It now houses multiple cultural and education organizations, such as EEPA, who rent space there. The building boats free wifi on all three floors, a community herb garden, a Free Little Library, and playground. Parking is available on the street, on either Milton or Charleston Avenues, or in the rear of the building, near the basket ball court.
EEPA mainly utilizes the “big room” on the bottom floor of the building for our musical theatre classes. It has a stage, piano and other accessories that are helpful in theatre classes. Other classes and workshops are held in smaller classrooms on levels two and three, some of which also have pianos.
