This class is a great way to dip your toe into the joys of acting and singing in a musical, as we will study, rehearse and perform scenes from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Every student gets a chance to shine and dig into a role, as well as gain experience in: singing, staging group musical numbers and learning light choreography. This class will also introduce students to notable theatre personalities, such as actors or composers, through listening activities, videos, and short research assignments (which are usually rewarded with prizes if they are completed on time and according to directions!)
Students are expected to bring a folder, note book (or three ring binder,) and pencil to class. At home memorization of scenes and music is required.
