Private Lessons

Weekly private lessons are available for singers and pianists from fifth grade through adult, and are a great way to dedicate time to your growth as an artist!

Weekly private lessons are available for singers and pianists from fifth grade through adult, and are a great way to dedicate time to your growth as an artist!

Lessons are offered:

  • Year round, by appointment, including a summer option.
  • Sunday through Thursday, on a set day and time each week.
  • In person at a private residence in the Forest Hills/Wilkins Township area (easily accessible from the parkway east. Approximately 15 minutes from the Squirrel Hill business district or the Monroeville Route 22 business corridor.)
  • In person only for those up-to-date on Covid 19 vaccinations and boosters. Proof of vaccination status is required. At this time, instructor and students are required to mask when Allegheny County reaches a Covid-19 community spread level of medium or above.
  • Via Zoom. Many folks have found Zoom lessons to be a convenient, fuel-saving way to continue their musical studies without adding more commuting to their schedule.

What Makes Lessons at EEPA unique:

  • A quarterly studio class, where all students work in small groups (based on age/ability level) gain valuable experience performing for one another, playing music and theatre games to build community, and share tips and tricks for skill building.
  • The annual Spring Showcase – where all students perform in a formal venue with microphones, lighting and backdrops. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
  • A teacher who continues to learn – in the last 5 years, Jamie has completed training in Somatic VoiceWork, attended an institute on vocal health lead by the head laryngologist (an ENT doctor who specializes in treating the ‘voice box’) of the world-famous Cleveland Clinic, and undergone training to address the unique vocal needs of the trans community both in daily voice use and for those in the performing arts community.
